Frequently Asked Questions
WhO do You Work With?
The majority of our clients are between the ages of 26-45 and are mid-to senior-level professionals. We also work with C-level executives, high school seniors, and college students, although our approach differs.
C-level executives tend to need executive coaching, career native/storytelling, assistance with graceful transitions, etc., while students and recent graduates most often need help with choosing a university, an area of study, job search, etc.
In which industries do you have expertise?
We work with clients across a range of industries. There is no specific industry that we focus on as much of our work focuses on career exploration—we don’t want to narrow anyone’s results superficially. We have a wide network of consultants from a variety of industries (e.g., finance, biotech, medicine, law, fashion, media, etc.) who help us with specialized, industry-specific knowledge needed for our clients succeed.
what salary levels do you work with?
Salary levels differ depending on industry, experience, and level of responsibility. Given that we work with clients in a variety of industries, we also work with clients in a variety of salary ranges. That being said, the majority of our clients are already earning or looking to move into a six-figure range.
What Results Can I expect?
A new life! We guarantee working with us will give you more clarity in terms of your career direction. We have had enormous success in getting our clients interviews and offers for jobs they actually want in a short time frame. Our coaching has led to clients gaining skills in genuine networking, likable interviewing, and thoughtful salary negotiation, to name a few. You can expect to build the type of skills that keep you from ever needing career coaching in the future.
What is Your Success Rate?
Career Assessment: All (100%) of clients who engage in this service are given career direction based on their results. In terms of what clients tend to do after the assessment, it depends: roughly 85% move forward with a career change in some form. Some will choose to pursue additional education first to gain skills in a new direction. Others will focus on re-marketing/branding themselves in the new, desired direction if their current level of experience allows. About 15% decide not to move forward with a change either because it is too much effort, because they gained newfound appreciation for their career/job post-assessment, or they found that it was not their career that was an issue, but they just needed to change their work environment.
Career & Job Search Coaching: We have a satisfaction rate of 98% and supported clients at getting offers at a number of prestigious companies including: Facebook, Palantir, Apollo, Blackrock, Vimeo, Sony, LVMH, etc.
Resume, Cover Letter, & LinkedIn: 80% of clients who engage in this service with us are hired in a new position within 3 months. The other 20% take a bit longer to get hired in a new position (which can be due to networking strategies and/or hiring cycles for high-level positions with multiple interview rounds, both of which can take more time).
Is it confidential?
Yes! We take confidentiality very seriously and treat your information as if it were health information. We do not share your data or information with anyone and will not sell your personal data.
Are there any references I can speak to?
Due to the privacy and confidentiality of our clients, we cannot release any of their information. However, we have testimonials on our website, Yelp, and Google that will give you a good picture of what it’s like to work with us, and what our clients have accomplished with our support and collaboration.
how much does it cost?
Our mission is to make career services accessible to most people. Therefore, our goal is to find a solution that works with your budget. We offer tiered versions of almost all of our services to accommodate a variety of budgets. We also offer payment plans and social justice discounts (i.e., sliding scales). Many of our clients have also written off career services as tax-deductible expenses, so they get money back from the government at the end of the year (15-30%) if they report our services as an expense.
